Sarkozy is a communist writer and organizer who lives in New York City. He is an editor for Geese Magazine.

Sarkozy is a former member of the Communist Party USA, a founding member of the Young Communist League of Virginia, and a former leader in the New York City branch. After leaving the Party, he helped found Geese Magazine, along with a few other editors who were expelled from the CPUSA. Currently, he edits and writes for the magazine and engages in political work with the Democratic Socialists of America. His theoretical writings draw on a few broad philosophical areas, mainly Marxism, Pragmatism, and Poststructuralism.
