P. K. Gandakin is a communist and writer who lives in Washington D.C.

PK Gandakin is a former prominent member of the Communist Party USA and its Youth Communist League, where he paid particular attention to membership work and recruitment. Gandakin later stepped away due to disagreement with the CPUSA’s theory of political change. He has also historically been active in tenant organizing and political campaigning in New York City.

His theoretical interests lie in understanding Marxism as a living political ideology rather than just a body of theory, drawing also on Kierkegaard’s existentialism and Kuhn’s philosophy of science.
